Andrew Linskens is an influential multidisciplinary artist based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. His work is inspired by scientific observations, Midwestern aesthetics, and pop culture.
Linskens’ journey started in meteorology where he forecast the weather in Tampa, Florida. He later received his BFA from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay where he studied sculptural ceramics and design. In addition to contributions in fine art, Andrew dove into the realm of television and media production, working for 15 years as an Art Director and animator.
His passion for art and education eventually led him back to academia, sharing his expertise as a lecturer of art and design at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Andrew’s award-winning work has been recognized extensively through juried exhibitions and performances. Particularly notable are his large-scale murals, which have become destinations in the urban landscape.
His latest endeavor is a newly opened, self-titled studio gallery in downtown De Pere, WI. In addition to his studio practice, Andrew engages in live art happenings, collaborating with musicians and artists to create immersive multisensory experiences.
